Tons of variables and parameters to manage in the game, definitely go ahead a try it out, especially if you want the get to know the game before getting the next Frostpunk 2 release. Gameplay-wise, each scenario takes about 1.5h for easy, super-fast gameplay 2 - 5 hours-ish (you can pause for the most of the time if you need a break) for long, difficult, extreme difficulty, for those who want to challenge themselves, and of course endless mode is endless :P. I finished all 3 scenarios on hard now without a single person dying and there is not 1 scenario where gathering post are worth to build over 'direct gathering'. You lose both while building gathering posts. There is also an endless mode where you can expand your city as much as you want, so it's a little sandbox-ish as well, I guess. The only enemy in this game is time/resources.

The story is not the best, but definitely something worth the time, you'll notice the game gave hints in the gameplay that different scenarios links into a complete story in the end. The game revolves around the story that you are going to survive the apocalyptic winter by building a city. Expanding beyond city-builder foundation. Frostpunk confirmed H1 2024, with gameplay after September press tour.

I highly recommend buying the DLC pack where you get all the scenarios as well, the DLC made the game SO much better. In the next couple of weeks I will take it to scan it so you can download it (Also took pictures of my past research papers, it looks pretty good) r/Frostpunk. There are quite a few scenarios, plenty of difficulty settings to mess with. Please keep it clean and try to add more than just a one or two word response. It is designed so that everybody may ask any and all questions regarding the game's mechanics, strategies and more. Its a survival sim-city/survival builder. Story-wise, you should play this game before the next release if you want to understand the story better. ago Frostpunk is a unique and ageless game.

I bought it about a year ago while it was on sale, game was free, DLC for about 150HKD / 15USD, totally worth it. r/Frostpunk community, This is part of a series of threads aimed at both new and old players from the community. ago As someone who bought the game in January and now has over 200hrs in the game, yes 41 SirMeatRam Temp Falls 1 yr. You still have 1.3x the efficiency.Yes, definitely.

This equals 7 workers for wood and 6 workers for coal, so 13 workers in total. Other case: 2 wood piles + 1 steam core pile + 1 coal pile:Ĭoal: 6.1/h (but no steam cores. So with this gathering post you get almost double efficiency: 10 workers for what normally 19 workers would be needed. To get 14.3 coal directly from piles you need 14 workers. To get 1.3 steel directly from the pile you need 5 workers. Having 2 coal piles + 1 steel pile in range of a gathering post gives you 14.3 coal/h + 1.3 steel/h with 10 workers. Making the gathing post ONLY cost 3 wood + 1 steel Building gathering posts should be the very first thing you do in every game.Įdit:Don't forget to dismantle gathering posts when they are done. If the needs can be delayed, it should then be delayed in favor of a stronger economy. Gathering Post: 10 workers = 24 coal per hour = 2.4 coal per hour per workerĮspecially at the beginning, where resources are low and you have few workers, they practically DOUBLE your work force. They are:Ĭoal Pile: 15 workers = 18 coal per hour = 1.2 coal per hour per worker I'm seeing comments of people saying they don't use gathering posts because they don't think they are worth it.
